Description

DUO-MEC horse dewormer is indicated for the treatment of mixed cestode and nematode or arthropod infestations in horses.

Includes the control of tapeworms in the Spring and Fall.

Indications

The following parasites of horses are sensitive to the antiparasitic effects of DUO-MEC horse dewormer:

-Adult tapeworm:Anoplocephala perfoliata.

-Large strongyles :Strongylus vulgaris(adults and arterial larval stages),S.edntatus(adults and tissue larval stages),S.equinus(adults),Triodontophorus spp.(adults)and Craterostomum acuticaudatum(adults). 

-Adult and immature (intraluminal fourth-stage) lavae of small strongyles or cyathostomes, including benzimidazole-resistant strains:

Coronocyclus,Cyathostomum,Cylicocyclus,Cvlicodontophorus,Cylicostephanus,Parapoteriostomum,Petro vinema and Poteriostomum spp. 

-Adult hairworms: Trichostrongylus axei.

-Adult and immature(fourth stage larvae)pinworms:Oxyuris equi.

-Adult,third-and fourth-stage larvae of roundworms(ascarids):Parascaris equorum. 

-Microfilariae of neck threadworms:Onchocerca spp. 

-Adult intestinal threadworms:Strongyloides westeri. 

-Adult large-month stomach worms :Habronema muscae. 

-Oral and ,gastric stages of bots :Gasterophilus spp.

-Adult and immature(inhibited fourth stage larve)lungworms:Dictyocaulus arnfieldi.
